Generalist, Human Resources

The HR Generalist supports business operations by delivering HR services and solutions in the areas of Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, HRIS and Payroll.
Responsible for all hourly, non-exempt and salaried recruiting including management of on-line recruiting system, pre-employment physical and background check procedures as well as hourly bidding
Administers various employee benefit programs such as group life and disability insurance, medical and dental, supplemental plans, savings and profit sharing plans and Leaves of Absence
Enrolls newly eligible employees in benefit plans and conducts benefit orientations
Processes status and benefit changes, maintains appropriate records, and updates applicable benefit systems
Process and maintain medical benefit court orders from all agencies
Coordination and administration of Company LOA Program including FMLA, STD, LTD, Personal Leave, Military Leave, etc.
Act as liaison with benefit providers
Monthly distribution of Hourly Production and Support Performance review updates
Maintain budget and expense database for department
Create and maintain monthly HR Statistics Reporting and Metrics
Process weekly payroll changes such as deductions, buyout, arrears, performance reviews, tax forms, direct deposit and employee status changes within the Ultimate and Kronos system as needed
Performs customer service functions by answering team member questions and applicant requests and questions tactfully and courteously
Act as a communications back up when needed
Prepares compliance, benefits and leave reports
Involvement in Company special events and programs as required
Performs other functions including making photocopies, data entry, faxing, switchboard coverage and other duties as assigned
Associates Degree or equivalent with at least 3 years of Human Resource business experience required
Knowledge of Kronos, Ultimate and other HRIS systems a plus
Strong HR business and operational experience in a fast paced environment
Excellent computer skills required, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
Strong organizational skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Thorough knowledge of employee benefits including health, dental, life, and disability insurances
Excellent attention to detail
Friendly attitude and helpful manner
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with the ability to multi-task

Must be able to operate a variety of office machines and equipment such as computers, printers, fax machines, telephones, etc. Physical demand requirements are those that are primarily sedentary in nature.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
