Job Summary
This temporary employee is responsible for preparing bioanalytical materials for archiving in accordance with written instructions and guidance from bioanalytical staff. This is a full-time, temporary position.
Principal Responsibilities
Learn basic Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and bioanalytical terms to correctly identify study and facility records
Identify study materials by type and purpose (i.e. raw data, processed data, sample management information, facility records, etc.) and organize accordingly
Recognize and connect related information that may be listed by different names or aliases (with instruction and assistance)
Bind loose papers in cohesive study packets in logical order
Identify if information may be missing and document missing information
Follow instructions in SOPs and corrective and preventative action plans (CAPA)
Index and catalogue assembled items using a database
Facilitate scanning, PDF storage, and indexing of electronic copies (notebooks, binders, and others)
Review Bioanalytical records according to GLP archive Standard Operating Procedure
Complete archive submittal forms as defined by GLP archive Standard Operating Procedure
Collect archive submittal forms for review by Executive Director or Designee
Assist with regular file-keeping of GLP documents, including but not limited to Master Schedule, Deviation Binder, Job Descriptions, and Organizational Chart
Qualifications
Work Experience (Years, setting, etc.)
1-3 years of experience in bioanalytical, molecular biology, or analytical laboratory setting
Experience performing ligand-binding assays (ELISA) preferred
Education
Some college coursework in biology, biochemistry, or relevant discipline
Major Skills (Technical & soft skills)
Pays attention to detail
Capable of working independently most of the day
Capable of lifting 40 pounds occasionally, standing, sitting, reaching, placing items on tall shelves, using a foot stool or small ladder, moving file boxes and other office materials
Strong verbal and written English skills
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Able to learn new software
Able to ask clarifying questions, seek solutions, and ask for help when neededEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
