Job Description: Operate all aspects of Airgas R&D's fabrication shop. This shop produces but not limited to machined parts, welded assemblies, electrical panels & completed products.

Job Duties Include:
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Machining Parts via CNC and manual machining. This includes reading drawing, setting machine parameters & interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). Planning stock inventory. Programs mills and lathes. Set tool registers. Tool wear compensation. Use basic math, geometry, and trigonometry. Verifying settings by measuring positions & first-run parts. Maintaining specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations, taking measurements detecting malfunctions along with a troubleshooting processes, sharpening and replacing worn tools, adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Building assembles by studying instructions, blueprint specifications, parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Verifies specifications by measuring & completed component. Resolving assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications & notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
Welding Shop: Our welding shop has orbital pipe, TIG and Gas Welding as well as gas & plasma cutting.
Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies & verifying receipt of supplies.
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Candidate must demonstrate Verbal Communication, Decision Making, Judgment, Decision Making & Attention to Detail

Education
Tech School or Equivalent work experience.
