Contracts Manager

Contracts Specialist needed in Cheshire, CT for a pipeline and storage partnership that connect growing supply areas to high-demand markets for natural gas, natural gas liquids, and crude oil. This position will operate on a 6 day work week during construction phase and will be compensated on a day rate basis.
Responsibilities for the Contracts Manager
Sourcing services for major capital expansion projects: Supplier sourcing, Negotiation, Spend Analysis, Contract and Supplier Management.
Leads sourcing activities such as supplier solicitation, strategy development, planning, implementation, evaluation, and negotiation in a cross functional project team.
Lead the sourcing strategy development and evaluation process including bid proposal solicitation (RFP, RFI, RFQ) and development.
Perform QA review of contracts for key negotiated concepts, terms and conditions, risk mitigation plan and appropriate pricing mechanisms. Conduct in depth risk mitigation analysis. Identify efficiencies and cost reduction / continuous improvement opportunities within the sourcing process.
Requirements for the Contracts Manager
BS degree with 2
years of Procurement, Contracting, or Supply Chain experience in Energy (Oil & Gas) or Chemicals capital projects.
Must have experience with Contracts, RFP's, Negotiating Contracts, Constriction Services, and Capital Projects.
Review custom/complex contracts, identify costs associated with risks, and development mitigation plans.
