Our Client and the Role:

Our Client is a fast-growing SME in the radio communications sector. With offices in North West London, Heathrow Airport and in Cheshire, its principal areas of business are systems design and installation, sales of equipment, equipment hire, repairs and maintenance and aerial and airtime rental

Principal customers include the MoD for its radio communications installations in Germany, Cyprus and Gibraltar, the majority of the fire services in the UK and G4S to name but a few.
They are currently seeking a Business Development Manager working out of their office in Cheshire to cover the North West of England. The position is permanent.

Reporting to the Sales Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for account managing existing customers and to develop new business through equipment sales hire and maintenance in the North West of England.

You will increase sales revenues for our client through the effective account management of existing customers.

You will win new business through effective telephone and customer visits promoting equipment hire and maintenance.

You will produce quotations and resolve any subsequent sales queries.

You will ensure the updating of records and will ensure all filing systems are up-to-date.

You will prepare formal proposals and presentations.

Knowledge and Skills:

You will be an accomplished Business Development Manager ideally with experience of selling equipment hire services, small tool hire etc.

Experience of the Private Mobile Radio (PMR) would be extremely beneficial.

You should live in the North West and within daily travelling distance of Cheshire.

A natural confident communicator and negotiator you must understand what it takes to deliver a quality service to business customers and be capable of forging your own sales plans.

You should be able to produce technical proposals and draft and send high quality
e- mails, letters and quotations.

You will be numerate, have excellent presentation and communication skills, able to communicate at all levels and be decisive, assertive and persuasive.

You will enjoy a level of autonomy and therefore must be highly self-motivated to achieve agreed goals.

You will be process and procedure driven.

You will have strong negotiating and relationship skills and able to manage your own time effectively.

You will have inter-personal skills and be a team player.

You should be IT / PC literate and have a full UK Drivers Licence.
Basic salary will be in a range of between 22 -28k per annum. In addition there is commission scheme in operation which should raise your earnings to between 40-50k per annum.

There is also a company car, mobile phone, laptop etc. Other benefits include 21 days paid holiday rising to 25 accruing from length of service plus bank and public holidays, life assurance of 4 times basic salary, compulsory pension provision etc

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
