And right now, we're looking for an Investment Controller UTD Major Projects - based at our Capenhurst Site.
you'll be Reporting to Head of Finance CapEx, this role directs, manages and is accountable for all financial activities of relevant capital projects.
Provides strategic financial leadership to the Project teams, plays a key role within the Project Working Group focussing on financial control and risk / contingency management.
Financial Planning:
Including oversight of budgeting/business plan and forecasting, providing robust challenge and support to senior members of the project teams.
Supporting with CEP / PrID and process development ensuring adherence to financial and CapEx governance.
Controlling:
Oversight of annual financial cost control of up to 100 million of capital spend, and the allocation of costs (including material accruals and prepayments) within SAP, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal policy and governance.
Lead for internal and external audit.
Key source of support to the project teams regarding commercial / contractual financial matters.
Reporting:
Accountable for delivering monthly project financial reporting ensuring consistent and accurate information is provided to key stakeholders in a timely manner.
Working with project teams to ensure consistency and integrity of reported financial information.
What will your day look like?o Accountable for delivering the process with all levels of management to analyse, summarize and evaluate recommendations regarding:
o -Financial planningo -Financial controlo -Financial reportingo Provide technical financial advice and knowledge, ensuring that projects are accounted for correctly from an SAP control perspective, accruals, prepayments and liabilities.
o Develop credibility for the projects finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist Group Finance and the CapEx Committee in performing their responsibilities.
o Performs reviews of internal controls, project risks and emerging issues and safeguarding of assets to ensure compliance with Group policies and proceduresWhat do you need to be great at this role?o Experience - 5-9 years of direct work experience in a major capital delivery financial role.
o Experience in being accountable for at least 50 million annual spend, desirable.
o Understanding of internal financial policies and processes.
o Experienced in working with senior stakeholders, to provide robust challenge and influence where required.
o A strong communicator who is experienced in presenting and providing financial oversight and review of business cases and proposals.
